This article discusses a topic on bees, and the bee population declining. Bee populations are declining because of the insecticides farmers have been using. While these insecticides are important to the farmers' crop yield, but in the end, with so many bees dying, is it really helpful at all to be using insecticides? According to the article, bees are the pollinators for 80% of crops and wildflowers in Europe, so simply ignoring the problem is not an option. Instead, it is better to research further to find what is it about the insecticides that affect the bees, and then adjust the chemical. I'm all for using insecticides to improve efficiency in farming, but would also like to avoid the expense of killing off our pollinators.
