According to NBC's TECH News, the oceans absorb the majority of the carbon emissions and other greenhouse gases from human activity including the burning of fossil fuels. So as not to be taken as a message to continue burning fossil fuels without worrying about climate change effects, TECH News states that "scientists uncertain whether the planet can keep absorbing even that amount of carbon in the future." I am happy that TECH News included the scientists' insight because not only will the planet be able to continue this absorption, the oceans will be polluted and the marine organisms will die, and therefore we will no longer receive any organic nutrients from the ocean.
